My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

Well done with sat nan sue. glad you got back safe. Ailsa you always sound so busy. Helen I keep thinking I will do some excercise but never quite get there. Gayle, glad your sister got throught he Marathon ok. Well done to her and for such a good cause too. Fiona how about a nice pendant or bracelet for your sister's birthday or a trip the theatre or a spa treatment which you could go to together. Esme, Kaz, Judi, Dottee and anyone I might have missed (sorry) I hope you have had a good day. Mine has been very quiet.except for my son hassling me about the Japan trip and booking the flights. He is stressing about us getting it booked as there are a few of us going. My laid back son usually everything is a doddle for him but he has so much to sort due to Kayo being a foreigner in this country. They have to sort out the legal issues surrounding themn getting married. So complicated.

Hope tomorrow is a good one for you all. Love and angel hugs x xPatricia x x

aahhh!  You just reminded me why I am glad I work with grown-ups!  Can't wait to see Lynne's photos.

You're probably right Helen - I am a bit too busy for the gym but I won't always be.  A lot of my jobs are once a year things.  I oiled the deck after work today.  There is quite a lot of fence spraying to be done but that doesn't take anywhere near as long as it sounds like it does.  By the end of the month, when my sitting room is finished I expect to be able to put my feet up a bit!!  I have a treat planned for November when I go to Paris for the day to drink champagne in the eifel tower for my sisters hen do.  Then I have her wedding to llok forward to.  She wants me to sit at the top table with my parents which I thought was a nice gesture.  Bet I end up in tears.  My youngest sister loved Chris dearly.

I had ice on my windscreen this morning when I went out to work!!  That is not good.

Stu & Suzanne have been round tonight - Stu loved the duplicate of Chris's photo album that Toni did for him.  He has asked me if I will put 'Mum & Dad' in his cards in future.  I thought about it when I was making his card but I thought he might think I had lost my marbles.  Turns out it upset him that his Dad wasn't in the card.  I couldn't decide which would be more upsetting so I just signed it from me.  I will put Mum & Dad in the kids cards from now on.

That's me blubbing again!  Have a good evening everyone.  Ailsa xx

Ah, I know what you mean about cards!! They have me blubbing just writing my name!! Dreading writing the xmas cards this year!

Been talking to Fiona on facebook and I worked out how far Newcastle is from me....155 miles!!! How far is everyone else away?

Wondering about the train instead of driving?

Hi, Ailsa I know what you mean about signing cards.  I find it really hard to sign just my name.   the first few I sent I just put Happy Bithday/ Mother's day etc and then a few x x x  Thinking of cancelling Christmas.  Can't bear the thought of Ray not being there.

Helen where in the country are you?  I am about 75 miles from Newcastle.
