My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

    Morning girls

Wow!! Lynne - you're an early bird today............but I know what you mean about too much sleep in the day time!!! Hope you didn't get mown down by staff shelf-filling and picking 't'internet orders??? Our store 24-hour store is so quiet at that time of day - yep! been there done that! - but it's like an obstacle course with staff everywhere..........I think they must only work in the early hours cos in the daytime you can never find anyone to ask about stuff!!!!!!!!!

Love and lots of comforting ((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) - I know you need 'em............

Morning everyone, Liams equipment has finally gone, pleased but also sad as it also confirms that it is not needed if you know what I mean. Off to the gym in a bit to try and get rid of this mood. Hope everyone else are having reasonable days.

    Hi Everyone,

Debs - I know what you mean about the equipment. I found it so sad when Wullly's went too even though he hated it all. Just another step. Hope the gym helped. I am needing to drag out my wii fit again. I had been doing it and it has fell by the wayside the past few weeks as I just can't motivate myself to do anything. However, I know I feel better getting some exercise.

Lynne, you were up early! You will end up falling asleep again today!

Ailsa & Helen, hope you are both having a better day. I too had quite a few steps back when Jamie started school but I soon caught up again if you know what I mean. It did take me a good week to get back to where I was so hopefully you will be the same.

I am not quite as grumpy today lol! Just a little pigsty today hee hee! Meeting with bank was fine and I didn't commit to anything but he gave me some interesting ideas about investing my money so will think about it then go back and see him again. Got another offer this morning on the house but it was still too low so rejected it. Hopefully 3rd time lucky. Please keep all your fingers (and toes) crossed and I will post later with the happy news I say optimistically!!! Well away to pace the house awaiting another phone call. My nerves are shot to pieces.

Thought I would also mention about another website I went to where I posted a star for Wully. Thought some of you might like it :

    http://www.winstonswish.org.uk/foryoungpeople/skyscape/

I bought my two boys a star on both their 1st birthdays so think I will buy one for Wully as you get a nice certificate that I can put up on the wall.

    Hugs to everyone.

Hello everyone, such a lot seems to have gone on in the last few days. Beagreat, welcome to the thread but sorry for your great loss. Lynne, you are in such turmoil at the minute it is no wonder you don't sleep well. Ailsa forgetting things sounds very familiar. I am very forgetful at the moment and a friend of mine was quite irritated with me because I asked a question which she said she had answered. It actually turns out that she had not given me the information I was enquiring about. Oh well.
I think someone mentioned feeling more 'down' than they had been.(sorry can't remember who). I find I have a few reasonable days and then hit rock bottom.
I had two really busy nights at work. The first one I have already mentioned. The second one was traumatic as I had an emergency incident at the beginning of my shift and then at the end of the shift just before the handover, the flippin fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the ward. Grrrrrrr.
Kaz, I have agrred to go to London for the weekend with my friends. Whether I actually get there is another matter. We shall see.
On the subject of weddings, my eldest son is also getting married and I too have to lose a substantial amounbt of weight. Goodness only knows how I am going to do it but I do have to try.
Hope you are all feeling just a little bit better today. (Don't catch my germs will you --- I have tried to isolate myself from family as I have a nasty cold and a horrible cough).
Gayle, good luck with the house sale.
    Love and angel hugs x x Patricia x x

Flippin government targets have a lot to answer for. Don't they realise that people just bounce back if discharged too soon?? Hope you are ok x x
