My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

Evening all , well you all have had a good chat today , i hope everybody feels better , Kev as others have said please dont blame yourself ,
Well a bit of good news for me (for a change ) i told you his ex wife was trying to claim one of his pensions well i got letter today and guess what , the legal department have decided it goes to his estate and not her . Like i've said its not the money its the thought of her trying to get her hands on anything when she's had it all . I know she went on holiday today so when she gets back next wed she'll have the letter waiting for her .. I'm not saying any thing to anyone (only you people ) as i dont want to upset his daughters , even tho they had said they wanted the money to go to me , she is there mother so i'll just see if they say anything to me about it ..
The rain has never stopped today and i dont know how i managed it but my uniform was covered in mud !! Hope its a better day tommorow .
    How is everyone doing ?

Kev darlng, start listening to your friends on here. Everyone who knows you knows that you would do anything to help Di. Don't feel guilty at what you had to do. It is the system that is wrong, that put the responsibility of the decision onto you.
    Love and hugs

Hi Lynne, at least justice has been done xxx Sorry but it made me giggle to think of you covered in mud!!

My car been in for M.O.T, not too painful, just needed a tyre. So with the bad weather and no car my kitchen is now spotless!! Father in law has also been round finishing off bits for me in the utility room that I painted last week so I have been to order the flooring.

Kev it sounds like that was a decision you wouldn`t have planned for and couldn`t really do anything else. You did great xxx Don`t beat yourself up xxx

Kaz can I request you too as a friend on facebook, will have to find you first though!

It`s Wednesday and my friends are back from hols so I`m going to the pub for a couple!!

How`s everyone else? Have a good evening.

    Helen xxx

Hi everyone. I have read everything over the past couple of days and am amazed at how our lives are just so similar. We all share loss and all miss our partners so very much. You are all so friendly.
I have just booked a trip to Disneyland Paris for myself and the 3 grandsons in October. I must be insane??? They are so excited that it makes me smile. These moments are so few and far between. I have got something to look forward to at last (I think)
Hope the weather picks up for you all to enjoy your gardens and dry washing etc. Thank you for just being there.
    Thinking of you all...x
