My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

Evening Lynne - I'll add my good wishes to everyone else's for your hols...........be sure to relax and have fun together.  I checked out my e-mails from Mac about the walk and they say they will be in touch about 3 weeks before the event .....so should be any time soon I think.  It'll be something for you to come back to!!!  My weekend has been busy - for a change - I got sooooo fed up of looking at all the fluff in the corners that I've had a mad cleaning session and got rid of it all!!!!  I spent ages today trying to make room for all my crafting stuff!!!  I didn't realise just how much there is ..or how awkward it is to store!!!  Nothing fits neatly into a box or basket........there's always a corner sticking out so I can't stack anything!!!!!  Still it's all sparkly now.......just got to tackle china cabinets.....why do we collect stuff??????  Love and ((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) to everyone that drops in here.........Dot xxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi Ladies,

Had a very long day.  Went to see my sister running her marathon in Inverness which was an 8.5hr round trip!  So absolutely shattered.  She did very well and it was very emotional shouting her on at the end for her and me so well worth the journey.  She raised nearly £1000 for the hospice which was amazing.  I think we have raised about £2000 since Wully died so really pleased.  My head is nipping listening to my two little monkeys all day though.  Thank goodness they are in bed now!

Lynne, you have a fabulous holiday.  You will have a great time with your two sisters as you are so close to them and before you know it you will be back!  We will miss all your chat definitely x

Fiona, know what you mean about sewing up the knitting.  I hate it too but haven't had time to knit since just before Wully died.  I got really into knitting in the round as then I didn't need to sew lol!

Hope everyone else had an okay weekend.

    Gayle xx

Good evening everyone.  Sounds like we have been having a useful weekend this weekend.  Have a wonderful holiday Lynne.  I understand your apprehension but you will have a great time because you are with your family.  We will miss you while you are away but it will be lovely to hear all about it when you get back.  I had a look on facebook and the bride looked lovely last night - you looked good in her shoes as well!!

Glad you had a nice time at the ruby wedding Sue.  I'm still not sure what to make of my sat nav's antics on Friday!

The wind calmed down here today so I finished the last 2 gates to my garden.  I have made a start on decorating my sitting room.  I use the term decorating loosley because I have all the coving to take off first so that my son can skim one of the walls.  I am hoping to complete this task by the end of the month.  I need to see a joiner next week as I need a new mantel piece.

My youngest daughter has been round this evening printing photos for an album she wants to give her brother for his birthday.  We put an album of photos with Chris when he was buried.  Toni has decided to give Stu a duplicate of the album for his birthday.  She bought a nice album and we were printing the pictures to put in it.  He will get it tomorrow so I think he will be pleased.

How long is it until the baby is due now Fiona?  I haven't knitted since my 3 were little.  I would love to have a baby to knit for but I think my kids are going to make me wait a bit longer for more grandchildren.  Looks like Declan is going to keep getting spoiled for a while yet.

I am going to have to take some motivation tips from you Helen - I still haven't taken the time to do any exercise never mind consider a gym.  I always seem to find something else to do.  I am determined to get on my wii fit very soon.

Hi Judi, how are you?  Nice to know you are looking in on us.

Hope everyone else is okay tonight.  Take care.  Ailsa xx
