Is there anybody wanted to chat about nothing in particular, I need a distraction today.
I listen to podcasts in bed. Again, no need to concentrate and can re-listen if I nod off.
I might try audio books. I do miss reading, I always had a book on the go.
And with that in mind my darling Valen so wanted to turn his office into my library before he went. But he only got to clear it of his tech stuff.
I tried crochet, but the result after 5 days of swearing was so terrible I threw it all in the bin. (I retrieved the hooks and will to give to a friend)
I miss reading too, like you I always used to have a book.on the go. Can barely read a page now.
I turned my attic into a bit of library, all those books now sitting there unread. Probably more of a fire hazard!
Might have to try podcasts and audio books.
Ha! The swearing! Thought it was just me!
I knit. Can't crochet. I have knitted a few things (mainly hats and scarves) and sold them on Vinted or gave to charity. Quite proud of myself and I have started to sell some things online - gives you a wee buzz when your stuff actually sells and earns you a wee bit pocket money to boot. I got rid of a lot of Jays (my husband) stuff. He was a terrible one for letting clothes pile up and not wear them and I sold a load of stuff still in wrappers with the labels still on them. Fashion conscious he wasn't. Honestly if you gave him a pair of jeans and a T shirt he was happy not one for getting all `suited and booted` and only when he had to. When I got him something new to wear it was always `that'll do for next year, still got this year's to wear` but then unfortunately they would never see `next year or the year after`. Just some things I still have of his which I find hard to get rid of things I have seen him in certain fleeces, gilets (body warmers) etc all the new stuff had no sentiment attached to them because I had never seen him in them so they were easy to get rid of. Good luck to all moving forwards.
