Hi
So dad passed away 5th April, Mum 29th May (both this year) I am 37 and didn't expect this at this time in my life. Just to add to it I am now job hunting as the company I work for has changed so much in the last few months due to being taken over. I have been there 7 years and seeing process I put in place destroyed, it's like another loss.
3 big losses in such a small space of time and I now feel lost in life, like I have no idea what direction to go in, yet when I try and explain this to my hubby (and probably my brother) they can't understand why or what I mean.
Does anyone have a way of explaining this feeling to others??
Thank you
Em xx
Hi Em,
Firstly I'm so sorry for your loss, I am currently going through a similar situation as yourself with the loss of my dad and job hunting and it does feel like no one understands not even my close family.
Since my dad past away last November I've had to explain to so many people including my boyfriend that I feel like a part of my died the day he passed he away as we where really close as we definitely had a special father daughter bond.
I find it difficult to explain to people but I do my best to try and get people understand that grief effects people in different ways and it is going to take time to adjust to a life without them and most importantly it will take time to find your place back in the world again.
I hope this helps x
