Hiya everyone,

My dad passed away in March this year from terminal lung cancer and it's his birthday on the 16th of August and I would like to do something nice for him in his memory, but I'm not sure what to do.

Can anyone suggest anything nice for me to do for him please?

Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

Hello there! So sorry for the loss of your beloved dad, I hope you are your family are all doing well. I would say do something that your dad loved to do, or have a small get together in his memory. My friends organised a balloon release for my late mother after her passing. We all wrote out little notes to my mum and put them inside the balloons and then we let them go. I thought that was a really nice activity but the choice is all yours. If your dad loves fishing, you could go fishing. If your dad loves baking cakes, bake some cakes. This is a personal celebration for you and your family so the choice is all yours.

Also, an early happy happy birthday to your dad!

Well that sounds like a great party to me! Maybe have a nice Sunday roast in his memory, I’m not too educated on football but I’m sure you could do something with that too. Hope his birthday is fun for you all and thinking of you all.

Well it sounds like a good plan, get friends round make a lovely Sunday lunch and perhaps get napkins and flags and other Manchester united items, get football shaped cakw you can even get one with a Manchester united emblem on,maybe ask anyone who is a fan to wear their Manchester united shirts too make it a brilliant party in your Dads memory,I am sure your Dad would of love so much, and what a fantastic way to remember him by.

When my dad died, a friend bought me a tree I planted in my yard. Now every time I see that tree I think of him.
