Hey im Kim ive just joined this group and wanted to say hello :)
I lost my dad a couple of months ago sadly. We were very close and i did a lot of his care in the final months. I feel really lost and have been struggling to deal with his passing. So im looking for some friendly faces and a bit of support.
Hi Kim - so very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my lovely mum last September. As I have said many times on here, this site has been a big help to me and the lovely people on it. Everyone on here gets how your feeling and understands. If you want to get in touch, please feel free too x
Welcome , Kim I am very sorry for your lose and I send my condolences to you and your family. Grief is a very difficult thing to deal with but here you can be assured that for similar reasons we totally understand and please you are certainly very welcome and everyone is very friendly and supportive. I originally joined the community due to my own cancer diagnosis but I have recently lost a couple of friends to cancer one who was like a brother and was very close to my family and honestly I have struggled too by his lose but I know every wave of emotions will be not only understood but sharing them waves of emotions really does help a lot, it doesn't make grief go away but it makes it just that little bit easier.
Sending you a huge hug of support

Thank you for your responses and i am sorry to hear of your losses also. Its good to know there is a support network out there, i feel quite alone at the moment and sometimes it feels as though no one wants to talk about dad so i dont feel there is anyone there.
I am glad i can use this forum to express some emotion and thank you in advance for listening
I lost my mum to bowel cancer. This site can be very helpful and makes you realise your not on your own. Everyone understands on here. I know everyone’s cancer journey is different, but, we all know how painful it is to lose a loved one to cancer.
Welcome and i hope you get the support you need, i am new to this "process" (sorry don't really know the right word) and just starting to process a nightmare of 7mths where sadly both my parents lost there life to lung cancer.
Massive hugs xx
