Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this group, and found out a couple of days ago my Grandma has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, I know that she is still here and I'm having time to prepare, however I know when the time comes ill be devastated, I'm currently trying to be normal, however I was wondering if anyone had any good book suggestions that would be useful to read to handle the grief process and help me to process how I will be feeling once my Grandma won't be here.

thanks

Hope

    Hi Hope

Welcome to the online community and I'm sorry to read the reason that brought you to us. Getting news like this about a loved one is very distressing and no one knows exactly how they will feel and react when the sad day arrives.

I hope that you can continue to carry on as normal and be a support to others. I think that it doesn't matter how long you have to prepare it still comes as a shock and how you will face grief is impossible to imagine until the time arrives.

You asked about reading material and Macmillans have a series of publications that you can order hard copies or download and you will find them here

    Books that might help you

To order copies you will need to open up up a new account with be.macmillan which you can do by using the same email address and password as you used to join the forum.
