My journey

  • A plan (well nearly)

I was called to a meeting on Friday.

I arrived on time having written a list of all the possible questions I could think of.

However, I only met my surgeon and the majority of the questions I had revolved around my chemotherapy. No oncologist was present but I was assured an appointment will be following soon. But to my mind another delay.

Anyway we now have a plan but frustratingly no start date.

Well I had my PET scan last Wednesday but due to the fact that the MDT team only meet on Thursday mornings means I won't be discussed until this coming Thursday.

    The internet…

I'm still in a lot of pain. Self medicating with Ibuprofen and paracetemol. Is there anything else that might do a better job? The main problem is sleeping. Once I wake I find it really difficult to get back to sleep.

So far I've only told very few people about my cancer. I travelled to Yorkshire yesterday to tell my Mum and brother. Mum's 87 and we lost my Father to bowel cancer 7 years ago. I couldn't tell her in…
