So the 1st go at Cetuximab alone 2 weeks ago still induced mouth ulcers/mucositis.
Previously blamed on the 5fu.
Supposed to go again today.
Mouth still has sores. Bottom exits stingy. Nurse found a doctor.
Urine sample going to lab. She looked confused by results. The standard issues were not there.
Upshot is that 4 months after diagnosis, husband is still not on a treatment plan. And we are temporarily with the resident…

Response to treatment to date has been very good. If you ignore that husband was previously fit and healthy.
If one ignores that the treatment tried to kill my husband faster than Kevin could. 1st treatment induced Pulmonary Embolism. 2nd was mouth ulcers and throat so sore he couldn't eat and struggled to take fluid and needed 5 days as in patient to manage the symptoms.
After a month of no treatment…
So a tough start.
1st chemo round started 2nd June. Tuesday.
Infusion Cetuximab, Irinotecan with 5FU and folinic acid. FOLFIRI.
By Sunday breathing further deteriorated. Red card said call 111. Ambo. Hospital. X-ray and bloods. PE clot. Ok. Another pill to take.
Roll on to Thursday 11 June. Bad mouth ulcers/sores. Mouthwash prescribed. Consultation, skip a week to recover then go again on a lower dose.

Bob buggered off as far as we knew for a goodly while. But he got busy as we discovered recently.
Husband got a cough December 2025. Between work and anima apps couldn't get GP appointment. Even turned up in person and got told to use app.
He worked through till end of Apri 2026 then called 111. A&E. X-ray. Opacity on lung…
