Thanks to your good wishes, positive support and respect for our situation we have got through a terrible week. Ed has stopped taking the Capecitabine tablets and, thought still poorly is more with it and even managed a few minutes in the garden this morning. i have said this is better than being so wretched on the tablets so we shall see what the oncologist says on monday, as long as Ed stays well enough to get there…
Got the phone call just now, Eds heart is 59% but good enough for treatment. Nurse said dont worry about blood test as treatment is to improve symptoms, nothing more. now have to wait for hospital to contact us for treatment. Please please let them hurry up!!!!!!!!!
GP upped patches to 75 today, Ed sweating alot, side effect of patches but i dont think he has fluid enough for this sweating. Ed has started wretching but…
Sept 25th
After 2 visits to hospital, the first one last week when they could find nothing wrong!! The second for4 days but came home after CT scan on wed, we have got the news that Ed now has cancer of the pancreas. What a blow! He had done so well after the original tumour was removed alng with his stomach and splein 20 months ago.
There is no op this time, just chemo so we wait for app with oncologist. It is friday…
Eds birthday today. We went to sons yesterday for lunch but Ed couldnt eat anything, still we were out together for a change and the weather was good . Still waiting for app for scan results but I think we both know it wont be good, cant even bring myself to chase up appointment, just focussing on the wedding on Saturday. oct 11th
Ed went down hill not even able to sip a drink so bak to hospital. Needed emergency op for bowel obstruction ( told not cancer but a kink in bowel). Waited 26 hours for emergency op! but at least receiving fluids and morphine through drip. Op went well but when I demanded to know details multiple tumours found , not removed, but bypass put in place to allow Ed to eat and pass motions. Surely doc knew this from…
