Been a long time since I've been here...

My beloved husband, Barry, died on November 5th 2009. God, how I miss him...

He'd been having a lot of pain in his legs for some weeks..turns out he had mets on his spine, skull, liver and lungs...Not from the prostate cancer but seemingly from his pancreas. We were told this on Oct 12th, just over three weeks later he died, at home, in my arms.

    I'm absolutely devastated…

It's been a while since I updated, so thought I'd just ramble a while... Barry has had his op, Pleuradesis, and is doing well now. My OH is in hospital, in Leeds. I feel so lonely... he's only been gone a few hours but I miss him so much. Daft I know, but, hey, at least he's being missed!! I mentioned in a previous blog post that he had a problem with his lung.. due to him working with asbestos in the past his problem has been taken seriously...(shame…

I'm hoping that today, when my OH goes for his CT scan, that it's less eventful than the last few weeks. With one thing and another we seem to have lost sight of what is fundamentally the most important thing, that he gets the treatment which will give him the best results. Neither of us is sure what the differece between a CT scan and an MRI scan is, and things have been so hectic that we didn't think to ask... He will…

Well, where to start...First, the good news. Bobby (my puppy who nearly gave me a nervous breakdown by eating my husband's Casodex tablets) seems none the worse for his self inflicted hormone overdose...tho he did scream the place down when he had to have a blood test to see if the drugs had affected him. The vet had only touched him with a swab of surgical spirit and Bobby turned into some screeching wimp of a dog..the…
