Update..

2 minute read time.
Well, where to start...First, the good news. Bobby (my puppy who nearly gave me a nervous breakdown by eating my husband's Casodex tablets) seems none the worse for his self inflicted hormone overdose...tho he did scream the place down when he had to have a blood test to see if the drugs had affected him. The vet had only touched him with a swab of surgical spirit and Bobby turned into some screeching wimp of a dog..the vet told him to stop being such a girl! Cheek! Next, the car...well that was mended last Thursday. £250 to replace a valve thing (I'm not very mechanically minded. You may have noticed.) Great. Yesterday, on my way to work I decided to fill up the tank. It was blowing a gale and my hair was taking a right battering so I stopped after £15, I normally just fill it up to save going back. 3 miles down the road and the car seemed to be losing power like the last time. Oh no...here we go again I thought. Then I realised...I'd put unleaded in, it's a diesel car. Doh. Off to the garage for draining, £63, thank you very much... Lastly...Barry. My husband who seems to get forgotton in all the daily crises that have struck since last October. (I'm sure our lives were running pretty smoothly, and boringly, till then) He has been back and forth to the hospital (or hospitals I should say, 3 in all) he has locally advanced prostate cancer, it's also in his lymph nodes. He's also been going to our GP complaining of a dry cough for at least 2 years. Finally, they are listening now. They've decided to fast-track him to see a chest specialist as he has fluid in one of his lungs...so this week he's been to Bradford to be told he can't have Radiotherapy because they won't be able to get all the cells, then to Halifax for an xray of his chest, Wednesday was Huddersfield to learn he can't have chemo either until they get the report from Halifax about his chest...yesterday, back to Halifax to see the chest specialist who has said he's to have a CT scan and they'll draw some of this fluid off on Monday! He's not got any appointments today, so he says he's going to take the doggies for a long walk...wish I wasn't at work, I'd love a long walk in the rain!! If only the GP had listened to him 3 years ago...(he's changed his GP now, I never liked his old one anyway..)

Oh my goodness!  You certainly lead an 'interesting' life at the moment lol. Glad that your dog didn't have any side effects after the tablet fiasco!  I bet you and your husband are sick of hospitals at the moment but here's hoping something can be sorted out for him soon.

    Thanks for the up-date.

    Take care
