    Well had the scan today, managed to drink all the liquid..it was easier this time because the nurses did not try to fool my brain by orange cordial to it! Did have a bit of a flap in that I went to the wrong Xray department and queued whilst it opened, so then had to rush across from one end of the hospital to the other. Cruella de Ville's relative put the canulla in, boy did she manage to hurt... my poor wrist. Now it…

    Well so many of you have been where I am now.....getting the news that the disease has "progressed".  I already had spread , but now the spread has spread further. The specialist has suggested a single dose of radiation, at a lower dose, across the whole of the pelvis, rather that just the right hip. He is hoping to find me a slot next Thursday. I also have a CT scan ordered, oh! that horrid liquid..... pretend…

    So the toe was healed enough to get back behind the wheel of a car and the driving lessons recommenced. I was very nervous and my lovely instructor drove to a nice piece of the road before we swapped seats. Seat off eventually, ( once the nerves were settled.) Down the hill, which always gives me collywobbles, up the other side, no probs, getting more settled.  On to the by pass, up the speed, no probs! manage to keep…

    Well it is the start of the school holiday's which means I now have no option but to get my act together and get the house tidied, the ironing done and clothes put away!  Well just typing that has used up all my energy.... so maybe I will start tomorrow! Joking aside, I am bone weary and feeling very low. I have accepted that cancer will always be part of my life.... and of course my death But I find myself thinking…

    As some of you know I currently have a pot on my foot, a result of a slip at the swimming pool. I have dispensed withthe crutches and now use a stick, but actually could manage with out that.I have got used to the idea of going to bed with the equivalent of a shoe on, and even the delighful felt overshoe (!) now longer bothers me.
