As some of you know I currently have a pot on my foot, a result of a slip at the swimming pool. I have dispensed withthe crutches and now use a stick, but actually could manage with out that.I have got used to the idea of going to bed with the equivalent of a shoe on, and even the delighful felt overshoe (!) now longer bothers me. The one thing that I have missed more than anything is a wallow in the bath. I am definitely not a shower person. Well yesterday I had had enough of flannel washes, I needed a good hot soak. So armed with a roll of cling film I went for it. Half a roll was wrapped around the pot. I gingerly climbed into the bath and managed to sit down and turn on the tap and added the bubbles. Bliss!!! A long soak, and a couple of chapters of a book later it was time I got out. Empty the bath.... now what next? I did have visions of being trapped there and having to get husband to phone the firebrigade but after a little battle I did manage to clamber up and out! Oh it was soo lovely. I can't wait to do it again!!
