Well had the scan today, managed to drink all the liquid..it was easier this time because the nurses did not try to fool my brain by orange cordial to it! Did have a bit of a flap in that I went to the wrong Xray department and queued whilst it opened, so then had to rush across from one end of the hospital to the other. Cruella de Ville's relative put the canulla in, boy did she manage to hurt... my poor wrist. Now it is just the long wait for the results.
The driving lesson are still going well, at least my instructor has not had a heart attack yet! It absolutely tires me out, and I have a habit of turning the air blue, but my panic attacks behind the wheel are becoming much fewer ( Yes it is safe to be out in the North West on a Sunday afternoon!) Had a lovely drive the other week and was rewarded with a liquorice and blackcurrant ice cream... It sound awful, it looks awful but it did taste good.
Saturday is the Christies Night of Neon, a 10k walk ( no I never run!) around Salford Quays. I shall be taking part with one of my daughters and my granddaughter... she is looking forwards to it... I am slightly worried. Thank heavens the following week is half term, lots of rest to be had as I shall need it!! As I walk, or crawl, I shall be thinking of all those wonderful people we have lost to this disease, especially Indie and Jools.
I have taken on another daft project... learning the clarinet!! Some of the children at school are having clarinet lessons and I and another teacher have joined them. It's a brilliant way of getting your husband to leave the room!!! I do not have a lot of puff and at times it sounds as if I am strangling a cat. However, I do sound better than some of the children, but as they are only 9 and 10 that really doesn't say much for my playing.
Oh well I think it is time I signed off enough of my ramblings..... love to all xx
