    What on earth happend to my holistic care of Peter? He set off alone to have an echocardiogram while I had a day off and a girly lunch hit The Hut for pizza ( felt a bit guilty eating what he cannot )

    Peter returned saying all went well but his feet hurt, I really didn't take much notice I concentrate on the other end i.e can he swallow, is his weight stable.is his colour good is he moisturizing.

  • Low Platelets

    Only just scraped in to start third cycle of chemo as platelets dropped to 98 The Dr said Peter could carry on as he is otherwise coping ok. but really 100 is the cut off point.

    He has been very red faced again that seems to be settling ,and he is bruising very easily.and cuts bleed longer.

    We are fingers crossed that his platelets will rise before next appointment

  • Are We Traveling Backwards ?

    Struggling again with the food and drink cannot swallow tablets. Peter had gone right nback to frothing up not even getting saliva down So a major step backwards.But he has slowly improved a bit maybe it was a blockage.

    liquids and purees for now and hope its a blip, although we have a fear the chemo may not be shrinking our foe

  • Cracked It ..... Maybe.

    Peter didn't take fast tab today and his face has not been red, he managed to swallow the lanzoprosole capsule.

    He told me today he has felt sick during the last couple of evenings. I think he has been trying to be to normal as he was out playing snooker both evenings.

    So a quiet rest day today and he feels fine.

    He is such a stoic man , maybe if he wasn't we would have found this cancer earlier but there you…

    Peter's face looks sunburned, it started day after chemo , we telephoned our Chemo Nurse who says its an allergic reaction most likely to Herceptin. as he has no other symptoms advised it should fade over next few days.But it gradualy fades each day and is back in the mornings, although he has an itchy wrist tonight
