I'm very glad to be more than half way through (this phase of) treatment now. Getting some side effects, but finding the medication (for anti-nausea and anti-diarrhoea) works. I guess I'll be getting more sore and more tired as time goes on but afternoon kips help. I'm blogging while B is telling me I should be going to bed! He is right of course as I need to make sure I'm not overdoing it, but I just thought I'd post a quick update.

This started after a couple of sets of pills but having experienced morning sickness with both girls I had some tricks up my sleeve to help and marmite on toast saved the day again!

Fortunately after eating my way through a couple of spells of nausea the symptom subsided. I had been a bit worried it…

More or less two months after the initial diagnosis, I have today started the first phase of treatment: chemoradiation to shrink the tumour. My ECG was 'better' today and although neutrophil count a little lower than they would normally accept, I took my first Capecitibine this evening. No nausea yet, but this could be a cumulative thing.

I was in Northampton for two hours this afternoon with the repeat ECG followed…
