A huge thank you to everyone who attended our coffee morning (and afternoon) on Friday - either at Mum and Dad's house in Edinburgh, or here in sunny Stony - and made a donation to Macmillan as part of the World's Biggest Coffee morning. And thanks to SB for co-hosting with me -would have struggled on my own!

I have today made the on-line donation of £300 - from morning, afternoon, selling a few leftover cakes…

Two weeks since finishing treatment and I'm happy to report that I'm loads better. A week ago I was still needing daytime rests and my skin was still very delicate, but this week I have been in work and have been to ballet (twice! Yay!).

Anyway, it's been a busy time since I last posted (yes, I know, meant to be taking it easy so shouldn't be busy). As I was feeling OK towards the end of last week we decided to take the opportunity presented by the three day holiday weekend to go away for a night. I rested in…

I don't know what's come over me today but I feel remarkably chipper under the circumstances. Anyone would have thought it was a sunny day as I was singing along to Bananarama at the top of my voice on the way to Northampton this morning. (Good thing about driving yourself is not having to worry about how bad you sound). And then Chris (Evans - it was Radio 2) played one of my all-time favourites Golden Brown by…
