I'm very glad to be more than half way through (this phase of) treatment now. Getting some side effects, but finding the medication (for anti-nausea and anti-diarrhoea) works. I guess I'll be getting more sore and more tired as time goes on but afternoon kips help. (No daytime sleep today though and S got me up at half six this morning.... amazing I'm awake to type now really).
I am still managing to get some work done - and happy to be doing it too. I'd rather stay involved doing something useful and keep my brain relatively active than take too much time out. However, only two weeks left of the school holidays so I'm also trying to arrange some social activities to do with P and S too.
I guess swimming with P on Saturday isn't really the sort of activity the doctors would encourage with the dryness of the skin from treatment, etc, but it was good to get some lengths in (It's been all eating and no exercise lately), and also P was so excited and happy in the pool it was a joy to see.
Strangely enough, over the past couple of days a few people have said how well I look - and one of them didn't even know that I am having treatment right now. I'm hoping this is a good sign that it's working and that I am fit and healthy enough to get through treatment and surgery without complication.
Love to all. Night night!
