Ups and downs

1 minute read time.

The good news is: I have only five radiotherapy sessions left to go with this phase of the treatment. The bad news is: it ain't half sore.

Anyway, it's been a busy time since I last posted (yes, I know, meant to be taking it easy so shouldn't be busy). As I was feeling OK towards the end of last week we decided to take the opportunity presented by the three day holiday weekend to go away for a night. I rested in the car, and lounged around on sofas but in truth it probably wasn't a brilliant idea in terms of keeping the treatment site fresh and airy. But glad we did it none-the-less.

P and S were very excited when we broke the news that we were off to see the cousins and here are some pictures from Saturday and Sunday: with new baby on one side of the family and older cousins on the other.

Since the weekend we have had some difficult behaviour from both kids (quite looking forward to school starting again actually), which I suppose isn't that surprising really given the circumstances. And there is such always such an enormous amount to get on with at home it is sometimes overwhelming.

However, we had a lovely visit from my aunt B on Tuesday. The kids were lovely then, and I had more opportunity to lie down. Plus she provided a number of meals for the freezer - what wonderful, practical help. Also, I have had the benefit of a massage again and had a trip to the theatre with P yesterday to see Annie (I sat with a sideways perch on one buttock throughout but we had a good time!). So, yes - it is getting to the stage of being horribly sore now but the past few days have had a number of highlights too.
