    I am meeting the surgical team once again at The Marsden, in Surrey. They are finally going to tell me if they are now willing to carry out my operation, an Ivor Lewis procedure. Funnily enough, the thought of the op and recovery doesn't bother me at all - but what does bother me is their refusal.

    Because of the chemotherapy course I'm on - I need a lot of extra sleep if and when exhausted. On Saturday afternoon I was having a nap, a really deep 10 minute sleep.
