Haven’t blogged for a while now. I think I had been running on autopilot for the four months, it seems more like years, that G has been having his treatment in Germany. Then, after being told that the tumour is clinically dead, to have him being rushed into hospital with acute kidney failure just when we thought he could look forward to a period of remission, has bought home to me just how fragile his the situation…

I have just brought G home from the hospital. He is much better, his kidney function is almost back to normal, just needs a final (we hope), blood test on Thursday. Thank so much to every one who posted me messages of encouragement and support over the past few days. Daffie

Then he had an ultra sound of his kidneys, nothing to worry about there. Finally an ECG confirmed…

On Thursday we learnt that the chemembolisation G. hs been having in Germany has successfully shrunk his tumour. This morning I have just left him in hospital being treated for an as yet undiagnosed acute stomach upset. He is so dehydrated that he needs IV fluids. I want to rant and rave and scream an shout. This is not fair. Our GPs check his bloods before each trip to Germany, and the German team insist on seeing…
