I have just brought G home from the hospital. He is much better, his kidney function is almost back to normal, just needs a final (we hope), blood test on Thursday. Thank so much to every one who posted me messages of encouragement and support over the past few days.

G finally got his blood results this afternoon, after mega confusion at path lab. A very persistant GP, bless her tracked down test and poned to give him the good news. All function are heading back to normal after post chemo prolems. Now at last we might dare celebrate the results of the treatment he has had in Germany: the tumour is biologially dead.
While we know that he can never be cured, and a new tumour could start to grow at any time, it is so good to be able to look forward to the Christmas we never thought he would see.
