Today has been a very long day as I have been up since 4am Bert woke me up to get him up for the toilet and I could not get back to sleep.
It has also been a very weepy day. The Palliative care nurse was back out and we had a good old weep with her. Then my colleagues from work arrived on the doorstep with a huge Christmas Hamper so there were more tears.

For the first time in 16 months Bert slept all night, I didn't cos I kept expecting him to waken for the toilet. He can't get himself out of bed when he wakes up as he is normally in pain and can't get his legs to work. 7am he woke I got him up for the loo and sneaked back into bed as it was freezing.
