My name is Teri (Theresa) I am 53 years old. In September 2008 my life was turne upside down and shaken about by discovering that Bert had Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Up to this point apart from "man flu" Bert had never really been ill and had only once been in hospital as a child.
We met in September 1980 and married in January 1981 we have 3 children and 1 grandson aged 8. who is the love of Bert's life.
Our Youngest son and his partner are due their 1st baby in March 2010.
I work hard as a receptionist in our local Dr's Surgery and also at our local out of hours GP service at the weekend.
My hobbies when I have the time are reading, knitting and sewing. However at the moment I don't really have much time for anything other than looking after Bert The photo that I have added is from our last holiday in Turkey Sept 08 immediately prior to his diagnosis.
