    I can't believe it is the 5th Feb already where does the time go !!

    Bert is feeling a lot better today although not out of the woods yet they have stopped his IV antibiotics so fingers crossed.     Someone thought it would be a good idea to stop Bert's tablets for agitation and aggression,bearing in mind it has taken the Mac nurse almost 2 months to get the dose right for him at and the fact that there is now CNS involvement. I did tell them that this was not a good idea but they new better than me. They were warned last night that he was getting very aggressive but did they listen to me !! No they didn't.…

    Bert was rushed into hospital in the early hours of Friday morning with a temp of 39.1 confused aggressive and scared. He most likely has an infection as his temp keeps going back up we are waiting on results of cultures to find out where it is. Until the he is on some strong antibiotics and they are keeping him comfortable. I will be sleeping in his room with him as I don't want to leave him on his own. They have fitted…

    Bert had quite a bad fall last night. He lost his balance abd fell into the bath and got himself wedged in. I had to get a neighbour in to help me get him out. Now he is scared to go into the toilet in case it happens again.

    His mania has slowed down quite a bit so I am hoping he will return back to his usual self shortly. He is back to sleeping most of the day but I think we prefer that to the hyper way he was at the…

    Steroids made Bert completely manic and paranoid, it was a bit scary. He thought I was going to hit him then he was sobbing for ages, then he wanted to paint the bedroom and was out of bed in a flash ready to do it. He paced the floor for hours. My nerves were shot to pieces as he kept stumbling. He kept hanging over the top bannister to shout something downstairs I had visions of him going head first over the top.
