Nervous ,worried,anxious

Well the first lot has been done now it was a struggle to get there trying to understand the doses and which tabs he was supposed to take so hes had his xeloda 1300mg ,dexamethasone 4 tabs and some anti nausea liqiud 10mg ,and with the type of cancer my dad has its very hard for him to swallow even liquids ,which the doctors told him he can dissolve his xeloda tabs in water to help but its still awkward for him but its done for now .It can be quite confusing at times especially with your head all over the place.

It certainly can be confusing Andy. I was on xeloda, dexamethasone and a variety of other tablets, and IV chemo for bowel cancer. It all seems a bit daunting when you have so many pills to take each day. My sister came with me to my first appointment for chemo and wrote everything down. Fortunately she stayed with me for the 6 months I was having chemo and took charge of my medication, so I didn't have to think.

I hope your dad's treatment goes well, with little or no side effects.

Well i think iv got it all now  ,and i am kinda in charge of my dads meds now because he wouldnt no where to start himself  ,i hope everything has/does go well with your treatment aswell Angela

Second lot for the day just done easier this time now i know what im doing ,so fingers crossed he dosent get to ill from them.

Things still goin pretty well ,He's feeling a bit run down but thats a given and hopefully thats all its going to be .I know things can suddenly change but im optimistic.
