I am having my op on 3rd December and first symptom was bleeding, went to GP everything happening quite quickly but I have been having stomach pain like period pain, I am 69 so well past menopause. Only having small amount of blood which is not bright red like my first symptom. Anyone else had this pain? My consultant said the cancer is stage 1a and behaving itself.
Hi I had that too - it felt like period pain. Had my hysterectomy at end of January and doing well. Good luck with the surgery!
My consultant said it was diverticulitis that was picked up on MRI, didn’t know I had it and never experienced any symptons. The pain is constant and I have a heated cushion which helps.
I too experienced pain which came on as soon as my GP put me on the 2 week cancer referral pathway. It was genuine pain that I felt, but once I was reassured that a hysterectomy would almost definitely be all the treatment I would need, the pain stopped.(I was 1a too.) I came to the conclusion that anxiety and uncertainty definitely contributed to my pain. (A bit like children get tummy ache when they’re worried about going to school!) I’m not in any way trivialising anyone’s pain, but for me, I think the mental anxiety affected my physical wellbeing. Take care of yourself! X
