Hi Mollysue
Welcome to the Online Community.
I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis of endometrial cancer and can remember what a worrying time it was. Please do reach out on here for support as there are a lovely bunch of ladies on here.
My hysterectomy was April 2022. It was done via keyhole and it was womb, cervix, ovaries and fallopian tubes. This seems the normal surgery although I have seen ladies on here who have had abdominal surgery.
I found the hysterectomy fairly straight forward, I had little pain afterwards and recovered quickly. I hope that this is the case for you. It is great that your provisional stage and grade are early and this will hopefully be confirmed with your post op pathology. Mine came back about 3 1/2 weeks post surgery. It is these results that normally determine whether any further treatment is needed.
Hope this helps a bit, but any questions please do ask.
I will pop a link to some info that may help in the meantime.

Hi Mollysue and welcome to the group and to this emotional roller coaster ride. Everyone here has experience of endometrial cancer and we are here for you! Mine was predicted grade 1 stage 1a in November 2021 and I had my hysterectomy in January 2022. My stage was revised to a 2 post op and I had radio and brachy as a precaution. My surgery was laparoscopic and I was home the next day. If you have any questions about the op feel free to ask - I also did a diary thread when I had my op and I can post you a link if you’d like. I could also post a link re what to pack!
Thanks marmite
so you mean the grade was put as 2 instead of 1 ?
Gyno said maybe radiotherapy but not yet sure but no chemo
was radiotherapy ok ?
I'm glad to hear surgery too bad as I'm very nervous and great you got home next day so hope I do too
do you have to just go fur checks now ?

Hi Sue, no the grade stayed 1 but the stage was revised to a 2 because some cells were found on top on my cervix. Radio was time-consuming but doable. There’s a pinned post for radiotherapy which you should find helpful, covering everything from the planning CT onwards. At first I had 3–4 month checks, then they wanted me to go onto patient-led follow up but I requested actual checks for a while still, and they were happy to agree. Feel free to ask whatever comes into your head!
So glad it went well and all clear so far
I'll ge ok as can't sleep or eat much at the moment for worry
Yes please send me a link if what to pack as I've been told 2 nights in but hope I'm home earlier
Thankyou
