Hi all,
This is my first post and just found this amazing community.
I received my pipelle biopsy results yesterday and diagnosis is grade 2 endemetroid cancer. I believe the next step is an MRI to see the stage and then an urgent hysterectomy and then possible further treatment.
I am in total shock but glad I finally at least received a diagnosis as my periods were totally out of control.
I appreciate having this support community as feel like I’ve been catapulted into totally unknown territory x
Hi Matmar
just wondering if you have a surgery date yet and how you are
everyone says the waiting is the hardest bit
Hi Scared bunny how are you? Have you had your results for your MRI and CT?
It all moved in very quickly in the past few days, I had my surgery on Monday, back home yesterday. It was a whirlwind before then with per op and pre-assessment meetings.
I’m still taking it all in - but so glad to be home.
I hope you get given a date soon, will have all crossed for you to have your op ASAP.
Hi
that’s great news that was quick Do you now have to wait for histology results about any further treatment or are you now in the clear ?
I’ve got a date 4th January CT scan shows no signs of lymph node involvement or anything anywhere else So I’m keeping fingers very tightly crossed and counting the days down to surgery
Trying hard to focus on Christmas
Hi Scared bunny really happy for you that you’ve also got a date and it’ll be here before you know it!
I’ve been told it takes 6 weeks for histology- so will know more about confirmed grade and stage then. But in meantime concentrating on recovery.
Wishing you all the best for the next couple of weeks.
6 weeks!!
gosh that’s a lot of waiting and not knowing
but I guess any further treatment can’t start anyway for at least 6 weeks to allow time for recovery from surgery
Just to say that post op histology results depends very much on the individual hospital - mine were back in 13 days. Op was on a Saturday and my consultant had already booked me an appointment for results a week the following Friday, as my MDT day was Friday morning and he confidently predicted they’d be back by then.
I think with me they’re taking into account any possible delays due to the Xmas break.
