Hi Annousks, when I was told my results and that it was cancer, I asked:

1. What type? (Mine was type 1, endometrioid)

2. What grade? (Mine was grade 1)

3. What happens next and how I will be contacted? (For me it was chest x ray and MRI, and I’d be phoned with the appointment)

The registrar who phoned me proactively offered the contact details for my CNS (cancer nurse specialist) for support and info - if this isn’t given to you I’d suggest you ask for it. The CNS has easy access to your consultant and your medical record so it’s very handy, and they were great for emotional support for me too.

Hi, I think marmite has nailed it with most of what questions you need to ask if it's cancer - but I would add that I would also ask about the choice of treatments and the pros & cons of each one.

Also, how long do you have to make an informed decision, without risking any further issues. Hopefully, all will be well and you won't need any of this advice! If it's just a case of hyperplasia (thickening of the lining of the womb) or perhaps benign issues, then I would ask what type of hyperplasia and/or what treatments would be best. Good luck.

Lolabear, if it’s cancer, it won’t be appropriate for them to discuss treatment options until the staging scan has been done. 

Hi ladies had my fon call, been diagnosed with endometrial adenomacarinoma. (Think that's right ),  they booked me in for a CT Scan and MRI scan on Tuesday,  another wait for results but that should tell them the stage etc. It was a shock to actually be told the diagnosis,  I expected it but I was shivering for ages. 

Hi Annousks, I feel for you with the shock of it - I can still remember the day I was told, even though that was way back in November 2021! Thinking of you as you wait for your scans and then results - how are you feeling about the scans?
