Post surgery and follow up setback

I had my surgery to treat my endometrial cancer on September 11th and today I was supposed to near l meet my consultant for a follow up and will now have to wait as i've been readmitted to hospital due to a very painful infection!

I feel really upset and stressed at the moment and feel that if it's even good news that I won't be able to enjoy it due to my health and I'm unsure how long I'll have to wait to see them now.

Trying to focus on recovery and not the results but it's sooo hard

Sorry to hear this, hopefully the treatment to resolve the infection will kick in soon, and you will start to feel better. Thinking of you

Thank you so much! I ended up in hospital as the GP prescribed antibiotics didn't help and things got worse and ended up being sent to hospital and admitted for IV antibiotics.

Am sorry to hear that you have an infection. I hope that the treatment will work quickly and that you can soon have the follow up with your consultant.

I wonder if the consultant or one of the CNS team will be able to come and see you at the hospital.

Sorry to hear about your issues.

I also ended up back in hospital on IV antibiotics after my surgery for an infection in my hysterectomy wound.

Could you request that your consultant see you on the ward while you're there?
