I have Endometrial cancer with a P53 tumour, I had 3 Chemo sessions but had an allergic reaction to one of the two drugs, the tumour slightly grew over this period, they then put me on 3 Immunotherapy sessions with 20mg lenvitinab which has given me so many side effects, Nausea, no appetite, mouth and jaw ache, fatigue, weight loss, anaemia, blood pressure, I have had a scan last week and some lymph nodes have shrunk and some have got slightly larger, they said this is a mixed response, has anyone any advice or info on this, they are reducing my tablets to 14mg and giving me a further 3 Immuno sessions. Thanks in advance
I also felt really ill on immunotherapy with the same side effects as you, with the addition of blood pressure, thyroid and kidney issues. when I took a break all my symptoms disappeared so at least I knew it was the treatment and not a general decline. Unfortunately the scan showed I was having no response and the tumour had grown so the treatment was stopped. I’m now on weekly chemo - a smaller dose of taxol than that given on the three weekly cycle and am tolerating it very well. With a mixed response it’s probably worth carrying on, when my tablets were reduced to 14mg after the break and the side effects were reduced, good luck.
