Tinnitus

Hi, I had tinnitus firstly when I had Cisplatin with my radio, and then again with Carboplatin. It wasn’t too bad for me, so didn’t have dose reduction, and it resolved fairly quickly once I had finished the treatment.

That's encouraging for me.Thanks Waidh. So pleased I've joined this forum. Everything feels a bit overwhelming at the moment. 

Yep, know the overwhelming feeling.  There were times when I didn’t feel right but couldn’t say how I was feeling! And yes this forum has been a godsend for me.

I did but it pretty much resolved within a few months. Very occasionally I have it now but it passes fairly quickly when it occurs. 

I had a dose reduction of paclitaxel for neuropathy but no reduction of carboplatin. 

Mention it at your next consultant review or to your CNS.

I had tinnitus with Carboplatin.  I finished 6 chemo treatments on  Feb 28 of this year.  My dose was reduced and the tinnitus is much less frequent but it has not gone away completely.

It gives me hope that it does dissipate although maybe not completely. The things we have to go through!
