6 months ago I had laparoscopic total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy for stage 1a grade 2 cancer. No further treatment. On Thursday I had 2 episodes of pink blood on wiping after brushing the path outside house. Has anyone experienced this? Should I contact cancer nurse or am I being overly dramatic?

  • Hi Atlantic O

It would be best to contact your CNS- you are not being overly dramatic- any sort of bleeding or discharge needs checking properly- even if it is just the once.

If you had had the surgery in the last 6 weeks, then activity could in some cases lead to a little bleeding, but at 6 months you should be healed from the surgery.

Best to get checked to get some reassurance. I would expect your CNS to arrange an appointment to go in and have a chat and physical check.

    Good Luck

    Jane

  • Thank you. I feel I'm being hypersensitive yet conscious of wasting the nurse' time. It's probably nothing but I'll call nurse next week. X

  • You are not wasting the nurses time- it is one of those symptoms that they would want to know about. Good luck
