Good morning, i had an endometrial biopsy back in January results came back showing no signs of cancer and womb lining thin as also a tvs was done. The gynaecologist said no further appointments were needed.. this weekend after being at toilet smears of blood again.. what could this be?
Hi 50's lady
Although it sounds promising that all was ok 3 months ago- further bleeding needs checking again.
I would suggest contacting doctor tomorrow. I would imagine the next step would be an ultrasound to check for any changes.
Good Luck
Jane
It may well be that the lining is still thin, but they would likely do the TVS to check for any changes. Something is causing the bleeding and they tend to want to rule out the most potential serious causes first. I hope they can do it and you can have some reassurance soon
Hi, sometimes it can be benign causes, like a thinning vagina - atrophy can cause slight bleeding sometimes. It could be a range of things, so needs to be checked out, so as Jane advises, best to check with the GP first and go from there. Hopefully, all will be well again but it's best to be sure. Good wishes.
I'm not sure really.
Have you had blood test for the hormone levels?
Will it be reviewed again?
Is it something she advises to keep an eye on?
