Hi
iam a 52 year old post menopausal woman. My last period was 4 years ago. I had an episode of post menopausal bleeding at the weekend. Since then I have had cramping pains.
My GP has referred me on the 2ww pathway and has said I may have endometrial cancer.
I have been given a consultant appointment on Friday.
what symptoms did you all have?
Hi Georgiegirl72
I am an almost 62 yr old post menopausal woman , I had 1 small bleed phoned the DRs was put on the 2week pathway , I didn't have any cramping pains that were noticeable to me but I then had a hysteroscopy /biopsy and from then on I did have pelvic pain/cramping pain , I also realised how bloated I was and more so after the biopsy 24/12/24 I put it down to Xmas but then realised it wasn't normal .
Hi Georgiegirl72
Welcome to the Womb group.
I am sorry to heat that you have had some bleeding and cramping pains.
My only symptom was a heavy bleed.
My first appointment was an ultrasound and when something was spotted I went on to have a biopsy, followed by a CT scan.
I hope that your appointment on Friday goes ok. In the meantime if there is anything you want to ask about, please do so.
Jane
Hi Georgiegirl
I’m 59 and had heavy post menopausal bleeding, fatigue and cramping for a few weeks so had blood tests, ultrasound and a hysteroscopy with biopsy. The biopsy results came back positive with a Grade 3 cancer and my MRI is tomorrow afternoon. The results will be shared with a multidisciplinary team next Wednesday and hopefully from there I will know when my hysterectomy will take place. Wishing you all the best and sending a hug.
Hi Georgiegirl72
I'm 59, until Saturday , and also had post menopausal bleeding and cramping. My GP put me on 2ww referral, I had an ultrasound 2 days later and saw gynae consultant a week after referral. It all happened fairly quickly. I had a hysteroscopy under general, an MRI & a CT scan all within 4 weeks of referral.
Best wishes for your appointment on Friday, keep us up to date.
