I'm not sure if I'm overthinking but since I had hysteroscopy and the biopsy on the 24th December the stomach cramps haven't gone away and I feel like it's woken the cancer up does that sound crazy has anyone else had this ? I get results from CT scan hopefully tomorrow but cant help fearing the worst and that's the cancer has already spread I'm not coping very well at the moment dreading tomorrow.

  • Hi Linda

I can understand that it feels scary to go in for your results tomorrow but try to think of it in terms of they need to pinpoint exactly where any cancer is to best determine the most effective treatment.

When you go in you could talk to them about the tummy cramps and they may be able to reassure you that they could be connected to the biopsy.

Why not give the Support Line a call and talk to one of the nurses. It may help with coping a bit better tomorrow. You can also talk to them via online chat if you prefer. I have done this myself and found it helpful.

Good Luck for tomorrow and do let us know how you get on.

  • Hi Jane

Thank you for your reply I have just had a call from my Cousin who is living with stage 4 Cancer she has calmed me down with telling me how she deals with it etc..and she has told me to write down questions  and to always call my specialist nurse or Macmillan with any questions no matter how daft or small I may think they are, she was diagnosed during covid and her wait times were horrendous so its given my head a wobble and calmed my anxiety .

  • Writing down questions is a good plan. I often did that when facing appointments and it can help you feel more in control. Often a quick call to your CNS or Macmillan can stop the worrying.
