Hi
I’m lucky in that I’ve had my surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy and hopefully all clear now.
I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had their first check up after everything. I had my first one today, however it was just a chat and nothing was checked, just questions asked and it’s up to me to say if you notice anything that is worrying you. My next one is 6 months and is a telephone call, I can contact my CSN if I am worried about anything. I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Wondering if most other areas are similar.
Thanks
Ange
Hi I had my 1st check up at the end of November. It was a chat and quick internal examination - said looked healthy.
Hi Ange
Mine were every 12 weeks, in person check for 2 years. I had the same treatment as you. I live in the South. I have now moved to patient led follow up for the next 3 years.
My check ups are detailed on the blog below. I know some hospitals do vary depending on grades and stages.

I think I would have preferred to have an internal, just so you know everything is alright internally, but I know all areas are different. Thanks for replying and Merry Christmas:0)
Seems quite a variation between areas- but I was told that if I need to go in or have any worries between appointments then to just contact my CNS who would arrange an appointment.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas too!
