5 weeks in and intermittent discharge

I didn't get any discharge or bleeding at all after my hysterectomy but my CNS did say that it can happen and there was info on my paperwork when leaving hospital. 

It could be linked to doing a bit too much or even be to do with stitches dissolving etc. Best bet is to mention it to your CNS and get some reassurance and to rule out any possibility of a slight infection. I had an appointment at around 6 weeks post op to check I was fit enough for chemo and to discuss it. At that appointment they did ask whether there was any bleeding/discharge.

Another vote here for thinking it’s likely down to doing a bit too much - and to checking with your CNS. The inside layers of wounds/stitches take a long time to heal so it’s important not to put undue pressure on them. I had a small amount once and eased back for a week or so.
