Hi
I was just wondering how often you have CA125 and CA19-9 blood tests, and do you have both?
How soon following surgery did you have these bloods taken? Or are they only taken after treatment? So far I have only had surgery but neither of these bloods have been taken yet and it's been 10 weeks since surgery.
I've just replied to the same post in the ovarian cancer forum but, if you haven't seen it yet, clicking here will take you to it. Is it ovarian cancer or womb cancer that you have?
Thanks B74 - I assumed there would be active monitoring so that’s interesting to know.
I think it varies depending on where you are and stage and grade. I was stage 1b and grade 3 but didn't need further treatment due to being positive for POLE. I actively opted for patient led follow up so had a call from my CNS 5 months post surgery and she will call again in 4 months, that was my choice as I have issues with examinations.
Hi
I only had CA125 checked post surgery and the only reason was for the levels to be monitored during chemo and radiotherapy- otherwise they would not have been done. I have had no blood tests since treatment finished and am seen every 12 weeks.
