I was told that about 2 weeks you can get some heavy bleeding as it's the dissolvable stitches inside and sutures dissolving inside
anyone had this as gyno Told me it's quite normal if this happens
Hi mollysue
I did not have any bleeding myself but my CNS said that some light bleeding can be normal and to call her if any concerns. She also said that I might notice some of the stitches coming out as they dissolved. I did notice a small piece myself- this was around a couple of weeks after surgery.
I was also told that sometimes ladies can have a bit of bleeding and/or pains if they do too much too soon.

I’d be surprised if it was “heavy”, more like possibly slight, and also even then more likely if the person is lifting things they shouldn’t. I had none whatsoever.
Did you not see any stitches or anything come out then ?
The only ones I saw were the tiny ends of nylon stitches coming out of the small incision sites on my tummy, and it was great to see as it meant I was healing!
Hi Mollysue, I had very light bleeding that started after about two weeks, it went on untill nearly 8 weeks, I was told it was ok by my consultant when I saw him. It was really very light just a smear on the paper after going for a wee, I just wore a panty liner.
I’m pretty sure you would have been given advice on here! This place was my major source of advice!
