I'm now getting so worried about the post op appointment
did they get it all out ?
what now etc etc ?
Do you get a appointment or phone call
not sure what's worse
Been 2 weeks next monday
I have been in masses of pain. Did anyone else have an inability to wee after the catheter was removed? I couldn't for 24 hours and was made to walk around the ward with a very full bladder, before they drained it at the end of the day. I am worried that the whole thing did damage as it was a litre that was removed. The nurses remarked at the unusually large amount and the pain that it caused was beyond belief. It has been a week now but I do worry that having that sort of pressure inside might have caused problems. My mother had a total abdominal hysterectomy and ended up with a large hernia and I am so concerned that I might get one. Did any one else have urine retention? I will have been home a week tomorrow. I have been completely glued together, for which I am very grateful. I have a seven inch scar that is horizontal across my tummy, a couple of inches below my belly button and three others that were used for; not sure but I hope that it will all fade nicely.
I think my bikini days are behind me now so it doesn't matter. These are battle scars taking me into a new life.
Thank you so much for asking. I do so hope you are doing equally as well and keeping chipper?! X

My bladder was ok in hosp after 3 wees and scan. Bowels seem ok at home but constipation bad at first but last week
now I've had last few days horrendous gas noises in tummy wind burping all night and day
tummy turning over and the noises is making
I've tried gaviscon but no difference
not sure if it's my bowels or intestines but it's driving me mad and keeping me awake most of the night
no pain so that's been worrying me as 2 weeks now when I had op
My tummy is making the same noises, but I haven't really thought about it much as I have completely lost my appetite and not eating much so I put it down to that.
My scar is looking much less angry which is good and I am hoping it will disappear to a pale silver pink eventually.
I think the thing I am finding the hardest is trying to make plans. I have just pulled out of my house purchase in Cornwall as I just couldn't cope with the move now in all of this.
I do so hope you are keeping as chipper as possible?
Take good care! X

I am really off my food and have been for two weeks, I did wonder if it was the blood thinning injections?
I have until February 23rd to see my oncologist.
my GP is in Cornwall so it is a long wait and Inal trying to make plans for the year. I won't know what I am going to be able to until that timetable of treatment comes in. If it does?
