I realised over night my wind and gassy are actually cramps and noises from my uterus and became quite painful, so took painkillers which eased it a bit , but hardly slept for cramps ( wow there so noisy too )!! anyone else had these cramps please before hysterectomy ?

WI'll  call my cns this morning for what to take but would anyone recommend nurifen or paracetamol  to be best ? Thankyou

  • Good morning Mollysue

I would take the advice of your CNS re paracetamol or Nurofen.

How about a nice relaxing warm bath to help soothe your discomfort?

  • What made you think that mollysue? Most likely to be gut stuff still from the stress of worrying and not eating properly

  • Hi mollysue

I hope you have managed to contact your CNS for some advice? I didn't have cramps but I do still wonder if it is all the worrying and not eating/sleeping properly. Ask your CNS about what is best to take and they may have some idea of what is best to help settle your tummy.

  • Jane and Marmite I am trying to agree with you both as today it’s much better and only took 2 tabs at 1 am , Been less painful today   and been chatting to a good friend who had hysterectomy too and eased my concerns a bit . Saying seconds and your awake all done

My friend had hers 15 years ago , in hosp 5 days off work 8 weeks  and keyhole surgery wasn’t even known then

I need to go Monday  try and be more positive and look what’s it’s being taken away ,thank goodness

I’ve got a wonderful gyno experienced in minimal invasive  surgery and lead chair for gyno oncology too and she   Happily let me wait 5 weeks while she was on hols
