I have been advised by MRI I'm a stage 1a grade 1 but I have alot of rumbling in my tummy area and wind /gas every day
could this just be the cancer making my tummy so noisy every day
I feel I want to pass wind to settle my tummy as it's so noisy
anyone else had this
waiting fir my hysterectomy but keeping think I had it spread to stomach or boweks after 6 weeks diagnosed
Mollysue
I expect the excess wind will be due to your level of anxiety! You are low grade and stage and you have recently had an MRI scan. Excess wind isn’t a symptom to be worried about we all get it from time to time. Try and focus on the fact that your operation is next week and the cancer will be removed.

No, you’ve been told predicted grade 1 stage 1a and that there’s no evidence of spread beyond your uterus. Your symptoms will be down to all the worrying you’ve been doing. Even if you were restaged to a 1b or a 2 in the post-hysterectomy histology that would still mean the cancer was contained within the uterus.
Hi mollysue
Are you eating regularly and your normal diet- or are you not eating so much due to all the anxiety?
Simple things can affect us when we have a diagnosis and are worrying. It is normal to think the worst and if you are really worried then mention it to your CNS but I know that the first things affected by me when I am worried about things- are sleeping and eating.

Hello mollysue , may sound a silly question here but maybe i hope, will help you. But have you tried peppermint tea as i find it helps to gently remove the windiness and is gentle on the bowels and hopefully will settle the tummy. I hope your not waiting too much longer for your hysterectomy and the peppermint will help afterwards too with post op bloating etc.
sending gentle bear hugs

molllysue, as far as I understand it (as a non-medical person), a peritoneal wash is a wash of the space that the uterus occupies as it can indicate ovarian cancer cells - ie something still within that space. It’s not a major diagnostic tool and is a kind of a little add on which may be of use. It’s nothing to do with the bowels. If you don’t want to talk to your CNS or your consultant’s secretary, I’d suggest calling the Macmillan helpline and asking to speak to a nurse. I understand and appreciate that you’re anxious about having cancer and having an op, but you really don’t need to worry that having the wash means something is wrong. I had the wash, it was negative and yet my cancer was restaged from a stage 1 to a stage 2 post histology.
I just wish my tummy would settle down as so so gassy and rumbling but I've not been. To the toilet either fir 3 days ! Just so much gas all the time even though I'm eating bits
I tried Gaviscon but did nothing
She may be able to suggest something to help settle things before your op.
