Hi everyone,
I had a total hysterectomy in July after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer, things went well and I was given an all clear after the histology. I was happily returning to normal life then in October I have found myself crippled on and off with indigestion. I do suffer with gerd and have flare ups but not as long as this. Has anyone else suffered after their operation. I’m hoping it’s just my body still sorting itself out. Since the all clear I have found myself suffering with anxiety and I know stress can cause flare ups.
mollysue, I’m not Rosie but as she got the “all clear” from the histology that means no adjuvant treatment was required. There’s no reason to think that there should be digestive issues post op - your uterus and stomach are completely separate.
Hi Rosie63
I would suggest the best thing is to get checked out either by calling your CNS/hospital if you can or alternatively your GP.
It may indeed be a flare up of your gerd but this is not something I have heard of being connected with endometrial cancer surgery so best to seek some answers/reassurance for this.
Good Luck
Jane
I had low grade stage 1a and I had a total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo- oophorectomy 5 weeks after diagnosis . I have had gerd for years and take tablets daily occasionally I have flare up but never as long as this. Good luck with your operation and I’m sure you will be great and have no problems with your gerd
Rosie I am suffering bad with this after 2 weeks my tummy so very noisy and turning over keeping me awake at night as won't settle at all taking Gerd tablets and Gaviscon
nothing changes it
nurse said to call my dr and get my gerd dose raised which I'm doing
every night I'm awake now with gas and it won't go away
just wish I knew where it's coming from bowels Intestines ?
burping too but no pain at all just wonder where it's coming from as was all ok after first week
I had it a week before my op too so nurse said it's not from my operation then
