Hi everyone, I haven’t been on here for ages. When I was first diagnosed in 2020 I was in such a state of shock I was on this forum looking for any help or grain of hope every half an hour!
Well, I am now 3 years clear of my diagnoses of Grade 1 Stage 1b endometrial cancer. I had the hysterectomy, everything out, and that was followed by three or four sessions of adjuvant brachytherapy. I’m happy to tell you that since that time I have been completely well. I’ve had telephone consults with the hospital every three months at first and then moved to every six months. At my last telephone consult three weeks ago, my CNS nurse said they were now signing me off from their care - but they said I can always ring them if I ever have any concerns or worries.
I wanted to let you all know, especially those of you who have just been diagnosed and who are terrified, there can be good outcomes for this disease. And for those of you struggling right now, for whatever reasons, always have hope. We are stronger than we think, and we can get through all the things that need to be gone through - even if it feels like a mountain to climb at times.
Finally I’d like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and all the luck in the world for the future. Keep supporting each other, it really helps!
Love Viv x

Fantastic Viv, it’s so good to hear such good news. I was Grade2 stage 1B with vascular invasion,so I had to have 6 chemo and 3 brachytherapy. It was my one year Anniversary, last week and am doing well ,was told I don’t have to go back for 6 month now. When I read comments like yours it gives me such a boost. Wishing you all the best for the New Year.xx
