It is just under a fortnight since I had my keyhole total hysterectomy.
I am suffering a lot of pain with weeing and pooing.
I take 1000mg paracetemol four times a day and 240mg codeine spread through the day.
I am using lactulose.
I am physically weeing and pooing okay but it hurts so much. I have found with my wee that if I set my phone alarm to go off every 90 minutes and wee then - it hurts less. If I fall asleep and wake up needing to wee it is absolute agony.
I am trying to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated but I am tempted to not drink properly to avoid the pain of going to the loo. The difficulty is when I have clenched to stop accidents and then trying to relax to let the wee out. It isn't like cystitis - it doesn't hurt in my urethra - it hurts in my bladder. Last night I avoided the pain after a terrible earth shattering painful wee that made me see grey in front of my eyes - by waking every thirty minutes and going to wee a little bit each time. But I was exhausted in the morning.
Is this something that happens as part of the situation and does it clear up or should I be worried about it?
Please call your CNS/GP NOW as this doesn’t sound right at all to me and you may well have an infection.
Hello Headless Chicken
These are worrying symptoms that need assessing now.
Please give your CNS/GP a call and get checked today.
This is not a time to wait to see if it gets better- they are not symptoms that would be expected and they need assessing urgently.
